A Quick Note

Just a quick note to let you all know that I have posted some snaps from my recent trip to the UK in the Photographs section of this site.

Thank you to all of you who kept me in your prayers over the recent weeks, especially for this trip. I have come home with a sense of refreshment and peace about the journey ahead.

A Busy Week

This week is only half over – well not even quite half and it’s already been quite busy.  This weekend was wonderful, being about to go to King’s Community Church (linked to this page) and worship there on Sunday past.  KCC is an amazing place of worship and challenging teaching, and a real joy to be a part of while I’m around these parts.

Saturday, I was able to travel with a colleague from the office to Stratford upon Avon, and visit some of the historical sites that are relative to Shakespeare, i.e. his birthplace, and some of the ‘black and whites’ or the houses of that period, which are white with a characteristic black plank design on them.  We also visited the church where Shakespeare’s remains are, but it was closed, and it was raining, so we made our way back to Bedworth.  The Avon is still quite floodded from an unsual rainy period here in England, yet is substantially better than it was in recent months and weeks said Judith.

These past two days, today and yesterday have been filled with a course that all Next Level International Staff members do called STEPS by The Pacific Institute (based out of California I believe).  It’s a lot to do with ‘breakthrough’ thinking, changing negative thinking patterns, and really realizing the potential that is in each of us to do what we are meant to do with our lives.  It’s not a particularly ‘religious’ course, but allusions to the Scriptures are often made, and it has a lot of Biblical principles woven in as it is.  Amongst a group of aspiring professionals in various fields as marketing to theology, and missions to boot, we are a diverse bunch from Ukraine to Canada, UK to US.  It’s an amazing moment of teaching in my life, and my journey, and I’m really honored, especially now after going most way through this training, that NLI was so willing to have me come and take it.  I’m realizing my passion for Europe even more as I go along this journey, and realizing that I am able to be, and I already am the person that is able to do GREAT things for God and see this world changed for Him!

Please continue to pray for me as I take a significant amount of time to process these thoughts while I’m here and really hear from God my next steps.

I hope to be able to get some new snaps up by week-end.

Cheers

Journey Complete!

Wow.  After a completley exhausting 31 hrs of transit, all connections made on schedule, I arrived safely back here in the UK.  Its rainy and chilly, but that’s England this time of year (at least it isn’t 35 cm of snow!)

I’m looking forward to a great week of insight as I take part in the STEPS course..and get a moment to refresh and focus my vision for the coming year (s). I believe God will do some great things this week, as He always does when those who love and believe in His power assemble together in unity.  And really, it’s just great to be back and see the faces at the office again, already strengthening my spirit by their words of encouragement and love.

Cheers to an amazing week ahead…

Along the way…

Well another answer to prayer!

After 6 hrs on the VERY snowy roads from Lewisporte to St. John’s, I finally made it to the airport safe and sound.  With an enormous storm yesterday, it looked like flights would be delayed with over 35 cm of snow at 140 km/hr winds in some places in the province.  Thankfully, though, even though I left in a snowstorm, I arrived in the city to fairly blue skies and no snow storm.   On to Toronto, then Ottawa, then finally to London.

And the journey continues!

An Answer to Prayer!

Well, some great news for all of you who have and continue to support me in prayer!  In the midst of packing up for my journey to the UK, today I was offered a job in Lewisporte (where I am living at the moment), much like the one I was working at in Springdale for the past 6 months or so.

I pray that this encourages your heart as God has shown Himself faithful again :) Amen!

A Journey to the Office…

Hi!

Just to let you all know that between January 16th and 26th, I will be in England spending some time in training at the international office of Next Level International (This is the office where I will eventually locate to work!) Please pray for my protection in traveling, and that I will arrive well rested so to be able to truly gain some wisdom and knowledge for the coming months.  Your prayers are of the utmost importance as I continue to prepare towards my goal!

With many thanks,

Janelle
