For all of you who enjoy some great writing – here’s Marianne Williamson’s “Our Deepest Fear”. I hope that you read these words below and are inspired to realize the integral part we all have to play in seeing the the Kingdom of God come about on earth. Be inspired to be great for God in your God-given calling.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson

Time is flying by. My last post was May 3rd, I believe, and I haven’t posted for a while simply because there hasn’t been much happening – that is until lately.
In recent weeks, things have been ‘moving’ again (so to speak). I have recently finished my TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certificate; and let me take a moment here to thank all of you who prayed for me constantly in this area, because it was quite a task and a challenge at points – but I have finished, and with top marks! God really is faithful to see things in our hearts to completion, even if it’s not for the immediate point in time. I’m still working to complete the specialization courses; one teaching business English, a graduate TESOL course (which works to create courses, syllabi, etc. for a class), teaching adults, teaching TOEFL preparation (or courses that help foreign language students prepare for English entrance exams for English-speaking universities), and a grammar specialization course; and I will have one more completed by the time I leave for the UK, and have four to work on in the evenings from overseas.
That is good news, but the really GREAT news is that I AM FINALLY LEAVING FOR THE UK! I’m officially leaving for England on October 1st, 2008. My ticket’s booked, and I have received my UK Visa this past week which was an AMAZING answer to prayer in this past month. It was quite a process, but God simply worked everything out – and this past Friday I received my entry clearance in the mail. Which means that I’ve 9 weeks left to work at Lewisporte Esso, and then I’m off.
I’m really excited to ‘hit the ground running’ so to speak with Next Level International – most of you know by this point in time that it’s been a long time coming and it’s truly only by God’s grace that I’m here and on my way.
I will be posting more regularly once I begin my 10 month internship with NLI in October. I know that there will be many stories to share – moments when God has moved in the hearts of people in Europe that I will come into contact with; times when He’s showing up in my life. As this journey continues – I want to share these things with you all; not to testify to a great cities visited, or people met, or things gained in the natural – but to witness to the greatness of God in those cities, the magnificent things that are done in people’s lives by the power of the Holy Spirit, and the movement and victories made in the supernatural.
So please – keep praying, keep interceeding. Not just for me, but for the nations of Europe. God is moving. God is doing great things there, and if YOU want to be involved – drop me a line @ janelle.fowlow@gmail.com, or visit the Next Level International website at www.nlieurope.com – God wants you to be involved in His mission!
